Monday Meandering... September 6, 2011

Verse of the Week...
“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” Colossians 1:28 NIV

Bible Study...
* Still reading through Exodus... on Chapter 34.

Husband Encouragement...
* Pray for him at least 3 times daily; first thing in the morning, at lunch time, and on the way home from work.
* Find little ways daily to let him know how much I need him.

Personal Goals...
* Get at least 10 minutes of sun daily between the hours of 11:00 AM & 3:00 PM.
* Purposefully love and be affectionate with My Love.
* Get plenty of rest. Listen to my body for what it needs.

Work Goals...
* Find ways to encourage staff.
* Shine for God on the job. Please HIM.

Monday Meanderings... August 16, 2011

Bible Study...
* Still reading through Exodus.

Husband Encouragement...
* Pray for him at least 3 times daily; first thing in the morning, at lunch time, and on the way home from work.
* Find little ways daily to let him know how much I need him during this time.

Personal Goals...
* Swim or walk everyday. Get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily.
* Get at least 10 minutes of sun daily between the hours of 11:00 AM & 3:00 PM.
* Purposefully love and be affectionate with My Love.
* Get plenty of rest. Listen to my body for what it needs.

Work Goals...
* Find ways to encourage staff.
* Shine for God on the job. Please HIM.

* Still reading through Exodus.

Husband Encouragement...
* Pray for him at least 3 times daily; first thing in the morning, at lunch time, and on the way home from work. If things come up, could pray more often, but pray for sure at these set times.
* Greet him with a smile, hug, and kiss each morning and at the end of each work day.
* Make a point of noticing all the little things he does for me and say, "Thank you!"

Personal Goals...
* Swim or walk everyday. Get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily.
* Set proper boundaries for work and home. Pray for God to help me do this.
* Purposefully love and be affectionate with My Love.
* Practice piano some.
* Get plenty of rest. Listen to my body for what it needs.

Work Goals...
* Complete volunteer statistics for June and July.
* Find ways to encourage staff.
* Shine for God on the job. Please HIM.

* AC... ours went out last Friday. It was 102 degrees outside! My parents helped us get it fixed. I thank God for the AC & my parents!

Monday Meanderings... July 25, 2011

The Summer Library Program is officially over, but the paperwork and lose ends are not. I had said I was going to keep this verse through the end of the SLP. And, I did. It has been a great verse to claim. I am going to keep it until I finish wrapping up the programming... paperwork and all.

Monday Meanderings... July 18, 2011

I let this go for a few weeks because life just got too busy to type out a plan. But, here goes. I am going to try to get back into the swing of things.

* Reading through Exodus.

Husband Encouragement...
* Pray for him at least 3 times daily; first thing in the morning, at lunch time, and on the way home from work. If things come up, could pray more often, but pray for sure at these set times.
* Greet him with a smile, hug, and kiss each morning and at the end of each work day.
* Look for ways to make him feel like "king" of our home.
* Ask him about his dreams, and tell him I hope he reaches them.

Personal Goals...
* Prayer run every day before going to work (5 days a week).
* Swim 4 afternoons after work... weather permitting.
* Set proper boundaries for work and home. Pray for God to help me do this.
* Purposefully love and be affectionate with My Love.
* Practice piano some.

Work Goals...
* Meet with each staff person.
* Work on evaluations for personal board.
* Call Child Care Centers and get lists of names, schools, and ages.
* Read at MRBC Child Development Center.
* Prepare for storytime.
* Change the configuration of the Meeting Room daily for programs.
* Keep up with count of registrations and prizes.
* Give each staff member credit for the proper number students they register.
* Process a cart of books on to the sale shelf.
* Find ways to encourage staff.
* Shine for God on the job. Please HIM.

New Habit of the Month...
* Iron the night before. - I got back on the wagon with this one last week. It really helped make my mornings calmer.

Monday Meanderings... June 13, 2011

My job is hard in the summer. This verse was pointed out to me by a friend during a prayer time, and I regret to say it, but I let it go and didn't follow up. Then God pointed me to it again in my morning bible reading time. I have been claiming it ever since, and as I pray to be one of "His people" and ask him to give me strength and bless me with peace, He has been providing both. I plan to keep this verse through the end of the Summer Library Program.

Bible Study...
* Reading through Exodus.

* Bake him brownies.
* Greet him with a smile, hug, and kiss each morning and at the end of each work day.
* Look for ways to make him feel like "king" of our home.

Sa = sesame chicken strips, white cheddar mac-n-cheese, a tossed salad

* Bath time Reading. - I have a really good book, and I plan to take time to read in the tub. Great way to relax.
* Swimming
* Relax time in the evenings with My Love.

* Good books and bath time.
* Gym membership with a pool.
* Air Conditioning - We have been reaching 101 during the day with heat indexes around 120. I thank God for the invention of air conditioning and that, so far, My Love and I are able to afford the comfort.
